La CPU LGA 2011 meno costosa in circolazione però disponibile in questo momento costa 560 euro e la piattaforma non è certamente a buon mercato. Il tutto è giustificato da una connettività che non ha paragoni nella gamma Intel, ma di certo non stiamo parlando di computer alla portata di tutti, purtroppo.
Il controller di memoria quad-channel e quaranta linee PCIe 3.0 con compatibilità four-way SLI/CrossFireX sono tra le caratteristiche più rilevanti della piattaforma X79. E certamente chiunque abbia da 500 a 1000 euro da investire in un processore avrà i soldi anche per acquistare la piattaforma migliore sul mercato.
